Mitch Landrieu, J.D. ’85, H. ’05

Mitch Landrieu’s long political career began when he was elected to the Louisiana Legislature in 1988. He was re-elected to that body three times before becoming Lieutenant Governor in 2004, and then again in 2007.

Manny Diaz

A force in Florida and national politics for nearly three decades, Manny Diaz was elected Mayor of the City of Miami in 2001 and was re-elected to a second term in 2005. He was named president of the United States Conference of Mayors in 2008Ìýand is a former member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council.
