Stick around after the greenhouse show to take part in a stargazing exercise led by the physics department. Participants will have the chance to view the night sky through one of the physics department's powerful telescopes. All are welcome!

Students for Environmental Action and the Environment Program will be hosting a sustainability fair in Loyola's palm court. Stop by for food, activities, art, and more. And don't forget to take the sustainability pledge for free gifts!

Insect Blacklighting and Observation with Dr. Aimee Thomas & Zack Lemann

Dr. Aimee Thomas (Loyola) and Bug expert Zack Lemann (Curator of Animal Collections Audubon Institute) invite you to experience an early spring Blacklight event in the Loyola Peace Quad on Thursday, April 20th 7 - 9pm.  Black lights are highly attractive to many night-flying moths, beetles and other insect and insect relatives, so bug enthusiasts use them to actively gather insects at night.  Come learn why Aimee and Zack are so passionate about insects!

Dr. Craig Hood's Bat Walk

Join ENVA's Dr. Hood for a evening bat walk in Audubon park! This guided walk offers the opportunity to learn more about local bats and their behavior from our resident expert. This event is free, all participants should meet at the bridge shortly before the event time.

Bat Experience...Walk over from Loyola until you get to the bridge location and you will find us with Bat Detectors.

Earth Week Farmers Market

Join us Monday, April 17, 2023 for a very special Earth Week Farmer's Market.  It will be held in the Peace Quad from 11:30am - 2:00pm.  This year's market will include a cooking demo "Krafted by Kraig" along with a special treat an "Edible Garden". The soil will be black Chinese rice w/quinoa, fresh veggies will include asparagus, squash, zucchini, snow peas, carrots & Bok choy topped off with a balsamic vinaigrette.

Don't miss our free Earth Week tote bag to help you carry all of you fresh fruits and veggies!

Drum Circle & Guided Yoga

Yoga with Abby Woods: Vinyasa flow is meant to strengthen your body while opening your heart. Through a combination of poetry, meditation and creative movement, Abby's (she/her) class is meant to help you become grounded in the present moment.Â
