A Message from the Vice President of University Advancement听

黑料社区 recently honored members of the Heritage Society with a reception at the home of Mrs. Joyce and Mr. Sidney Pulitzer on Sunday, June 23. The recognizes Loyola donors who have created planned gifts that will leave a legacy and benefit Loyola students of the future 鈥 for example, by including Loyola in a will, designating Loyola as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, retirement account, a charitable trust, or through charitable gift annuities.

鈥淚f you are blessed, it鈥檚 only fair to share some of your blessings,鈥 said Mrs. Pulitzer 鈥79. The Pulitzers were not only the hosts of the , but they are members of the Heritage Society as well and have included Loyola in their estate plans.

At the reception, I was reminded that planned giving has been responsible for the most meaningful gifts in Loyola鈥檚 history. For example, in 2023, the estate of the late Dr. Vernon Gregson, J.D. 鈥93, a longtime member of the Loyola Religious Studies faculty, established five endowed professorships in the College of Arts and Sciences. Thanks to Dr. Gregson鈥檚 support, Loyola can recruit and retain exceptional faculty.

There are so many different ways to contribute, and planned giving remains one of the most meaningful and impactful ways to give back to Loyola. If you would like to extend your support by making a planned gift today, you can help the Loyola students of tomorrow. To learn more about supporting the mission of Loyola through a planned gift, please contact Director of Gift and Estate Planning Kevin Maney at 504.861.5442 or kmaney@loyno.edu or visit Loyola鈥檚 .
