Loyola Welcomes Dr. Kedrick Perry
Loyola has selected Dr. Kedrick Perry as the new Vice President for Equity and Inclusion. Dr. Perry comes to Loyola from the University of California, Berkeley, where he serves as the Chief Diversity Officer at the Center for Energy Efficient Electronics Science, building a pipeline of diverse graduate students in STEM.听
Dr. Perry has a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.A. in public administration from North Carolina State University, and a Doctorate in education from the University听of Virginia.听He began his professional career听as Assistant Director of Graduate Diversity Programs at UVA. He then served as the听director of Suffolk University's听McNair Program, a听post-baccalaureate achievement program that prepares underrepresented and low-income undergraduates for doctoral study, before joining the UC Berkeley staff in 2016.听Dr. Perry will start at Loyola on September 15.
