Graduate ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Requirements

Minimum Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a 4-year degree equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad. 

  • Applicants enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent will be considered for conditional admission. 

Minimum GPA Requirements 

  • The average undergraduate GPA for students accepted into graduate and professional programs is a 2.5. Some programs set their undergraduate GPA requirement higher than the average standard. 

  • Applicants with a lower than average undergraduate GPA may be admitted conditionally, provided that other aspects of their application show evidence of special promise. 

Entrance Test Score Requirements

  • GRE - Graduate Record Exam: Some graduate programs require official scores on the for admission. Scores are considered official if reported to ºÚÁÏÉçÇø directly from ETS. The institution code for reporting GRE scores to Loyola New Orleans is 6374. Only scores for exams taken within 5 years prior to entrance are considered valid. 

  • GMAT - Graduate Management ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Test: The MBA program requires scores on the , but will also accept GRE test scores. Scores are considered official if reported to ºÚÁÏÉçÇø directly from Pearson VUE. The institution code for reporting GMAT scores to Loyola New Orleans is 0022. Only scores for exams taken within 5 years prior to entrance are considered valid. 

  • PRAXIS - Teacher Certification Exams: The MAT program requires scores on the teacher certification exams. Scores are considered official if reported to ºÚÁÏÉçÇø directly from ETS. The institution code for reporting PRAXIS scores to Loyola New Orleans is RA6374. Only scores for exams taken within 5 years prior to entrance are considered valid.

Graduate entrance exams are not required for applicants to the Master of Music Performance, the Master of Music Therapy, the Master of Criminology & Justice, or any program in the Loyola Institute of Ministry.

Other Admission Requirements

  • All transcripts and test scores must be sent to the Office of ºÚÁÏÉçÇø to be considered official. 

  • In addition to the above requirements, all have an additional set of program requirements (i.e. resume, personal statement, recommendations) that applicants must submit to be considered available candidate for admission.Â
