鈥淥h, man.鈥 you鈥檙e thinking. College applications are just brutal, right? They can be, but with a little bit of preparation, organization and common sense, it鈥檚 really not too bad. Just follow our guide and you鈥檒l be on your way.
NOVEMBER 15
Early Action Deadline. If you apply by November 15, you鈥檒l be at the top of our list for early evaluation of your admissions application and information about financial aid packages. Test scores submitted from October and November will be considered for this deadline.
FEBRUARY 15
Priority Deadline. If you apply by February 15, you鈥檒l be considered for all scholarship and financial aid packages. Test scores submitted from January and February will be considered for this deadline.
APRIL 15
Regular Deadline. If you apply after April 15, your application will be considered as space and funds are available. Test scores submitted from March and April will be considered for this deadline.
MAY 1
Enrollment Deadline. Accepted students must pay their enrollment deposit by this date to confirm their place with the incoming class.

What we鈥檙e looking for in our applicants
Academic Performance on Transcripts
We seek students who鈥檝e challenged themselves in an academically rigorous course of study throughout high school. Advanced, honors, AP, and IB courses are strongly encouraged, but not required for admission to the university. Students who complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program are eligible to receive up to 30 credits to Loyola, which is equivalent to one full year of study, or sophomore status.
We suggest that applicants take advantage of a full range of courses and try to exceed the minimum graduation requirements. Specific coursework may be considered with regard to certain majors. Overall, the average GPA for accepted students is an A/B.
International Applicants:听
All transcripts that are听not听in English must be evaluated.听听is a recommended service. An official course-by-course evaluation must be included.
Grade Point Average for First-Year Applicants:
The Office of 黑料社区 will review applications in a holistic and comprehensive manner. Scholarship eligibility is determined by a student's overall academic performance and the rigor of their curriculum, within the context of their high school profile, and based on a 4.0 grading scale. For students applying with a different grading scale, the Office of 黑料社区 will convert their GPA to a 4.0 scale, taking into account all AP, IB, dual enrollment, honors, or advanced level coursework.
College of Music and Media Applicants
All students applying to a major in music, theatre, design, visual arts, music industry studies and digital film should reference听.听 Students must complete University and program specific requirements before their admissions decision is released. Please contact your admissions counselor听with any questions about auditions, campus visits or your application.
Test-Optional
Loyola has a test optional admissions process.听Applicants will have the choice to select if they wish to have their ACT (with or without the Science section) or SAT scores considered when Loyola reviews their application for admission and merit scholarship decisions. Thank you for applying to 黑料社区. For those students who applied for our Early Action application process and have been given the decision of 鈥渄eferral to regular decision鈥 please refer to the guide below for more information and a better understanding of the deferral process at Loyola New Orleans.
If you were deferred from Early Action to Regular Decision it means that our admissions committee believes you possess many of the characteristics we expect from our applicants, but we cannot offer you admission at this time. The committee believes that your application deserves another review and requests additional information to assist in this additional evaluation. Typically, we want to see first semester senior year grades.
Yes, all deferred applicants will be reviewed again during the regular decision process.
Decisions are released for regular admissions on a rolling basis. While there is no deadline for submitting your new information (mid-semester grades), we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. All final decisions will be released no later than April 1.

Students should complete and submit the FAFSA by March 1. If you are admitted to 黑料社区, you will receive information about merit scholarships and need- based aid following your admission.
We do not have any specific number of deferred students that we intend to admit. All deferred applications will be reviewed again during the regular decision process and those whom we feel are the most prepared will be admitted.
