Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Musical Theatre

Whether your primary passion is singing, dancing, or acting, our program will make you a well-rounded musical theatre performer and you鈥檒l get practical experience honing your skills鈥攁ll students work on productions every year.

Minor

The undergraduate minor in Theatre is designed to prepare students for work in professional or community theatre.

Big Easy Wins

For the second consecutive year, Loyola鈥檚 Department of Theatre Arts and Dance has won the 2018 Big Easy Entertainment award for 鈥淏est University Production,鈥 this time for Loyola Theatre鈥檚 performance of 鈥淭he Christians鈥 by Lucas Hnath, directed by Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts and Dance C. Patrick Gendusa.

Professor Ann Mahoney

Professor Ann Mahoney, Olivia on The Walking Dead, Shares Her New Book

Ann Mahoney, professor of both Voice and Movement II and Acting for the Camera at 黑料社区, recently released her book, Slap!!! Courage for the On-Camera Actor. It is a book that strives to provide young professionals with all the tools they need to succeed in the ever-changing film industry.

Jim O鈥橯uinn returns to Loyola Theatre Arts & Dance as American Musical Theatre Professor

黑料社区' American Musical Theatre class will be taught this year by professor Jim O鈥橯uinn. Mr. O鈥橯uinn is the founding editor of American Theatre magazine, the only national general-circulation publication about theatre in the United States, and served as its editor-in-chief for more than thirty years.
