In early April, undergraduate students, with the exception of RN-BSN students, may elect to switch some or all of their Spring 2020 courses to P/F. This includes students in programs that were fully online before the COVID-19-related move to online instruction.

My professor is requiring an assignment that asks me to use equipment or software I do not have access to. What do I do?
We have asked faculty to respect that not all students will have access to tools they may take for granted. It may be that the professor does not realize that all students don鈥檛 have access. A good first course of action is to be honest with your professor about what level of access you have. The professor can often work with you on a solution. If you still have concerns after talking with the faculty member, then you should speak with your Associate Dean.
My professor is holding class at the regular meeting time, but I cannot make it. What can I do?
Professors may be holding class at the regular meeting time via Zoom or Blackboard Collaborate, but professors have been asked to record those sessions and post them on Blackboard to make them available to students not able to make the synchronous sessions.

Will I graduate on time?
It is our core obligation and number one priority to ensure you graduate as scheduled. We are doing everything possible to ensure that you are able to finish your previously scheduled courses successfully and without delay. We are also taking additional steps to ensure faculty training on Blackboard and other technologies and asked our faculty to get creative to ensure this is the case. We do not expect this transition to slow individual students鈥 paths to graduation. Should you have concerns about particular courses and plans, we ask that you work with your professors, advisors and deans, in that order, to ensure your needs are met.
What if I get sick and fall behind on my coursework?
President Tetlow has made it very clear that first and foremost, she wants students and their loved ones to remain safe, healthy, and well. In the event that you fall sick, your first priority should be to get better. In recent days, the Provost has communicated to faculty to be flexible about mandatory attendance rules and to work with students who are ill. This extends to synchronous Zoom meetings. Should you become sick, please alert your professor and work with him or her, your advisor and your dean, in that order and as needed, to be sure they are aware and can work together to best help you through this situation.
