黑料社区 among nation鈥檚 best in U.S. News rankings

(New Orleans, Sept. 14, 2020) 黑料社区 is on the move! One year after leaping from regional level rankings to the national stage in annual U.S. News and World Report rankings, the small Jesuit liberal arts university has jumped 15 spots to land at No. 61 in the nation for undergraduate teaching, tied with Columbia and Cornell, among others.

鈥淭his honor recognizes our stunning faculty and their devotion to transforming the lives of our students.聽聽It is also testament to 500 years of Jesuit excellence in education,鈥 said President Tania Tetlow, noting that Jesuit institutions are disproportionately represented in that list.

This year, Loyola also jumped one spot among the nation鈥檚 top universities to 196, placing it in the top three universities in Louisiana. Among the more than 4,000 colleges and universities in the nation,聽Loyola stands proudly among the best.

The Best Undergraduate Business Programs list in U.S. News and World Report is determined through a survey of deans from more than 500 schools accredited by the AASCB International. This year, Loyola鈥檚 undergraduate business program made the list at 180.

For the first time, Loyola is ranked among U.S. News and World Report鈥檚 鈥淭op Performers on Social Mobility,鈥 falling in at No. 185. With more than 40 percent Pell Grant recipients in its student body, Loyola is pleased to be in this number, which is tied to graduation rates of Pell-eligible students.

Again, Loyola is named among the nation鈥檚 鈥淎 + Schools for B Students,鈥 a measure that not only considers聽rankings in the U.S. News list, and the high school achievements and grades of a school鈥檚 first-year class, but a school鈥檚 rate of retention of first-year students from 2015 to 2018. (And for the record,聽students come to Loyola with an average GPA of A.)
