March's Friday Five
In an effort to keep everyone up-to-date on what our university experts are saying and doing, we send out the “The Friday Five,” an email complete with five items (and maybe a couple lagniappe) meant to keep you informed of the stories we’ve placed or written, the videos we’ve produced, and the projects we’ve had a hand in creating.

- The recently opened Center for Editing and Publishing at Loyola provides a space and support for students and faculty engaged in editing and publishing. By giving students insight into the practices of scholarly and commercial publishing, and access to a range of presses and periodical venues, the center provides Loyola students with a wide range of professional experiences in editing and publishing!
- Loyola Law professor Dane Ciolino weighs in on the workload faced by the Louisiana Supreme Court after a law was passed earlier this year requiring unanimous verdicts in jury trials.
- The Women's Basketball Team met with elementary students while visiting the Magic City for the 2019 NAIA tournament.
- Philip Bucolo, an aquatic biologist and visiting assistant professor at Loyola, appears in an article in The New Orleans Advocate about an acidic lake atop a gypsum pile in Convent, La.
- Raphael Zimmerman, freshman jazz studies student, was featured on the Today Show about his newfound fame as the “Boy in the Window.”
